City of Pocahontas Revolving Loan Fund

The City of Pocahontas administers a revolving loan fund that is designed to encourage new or expanded development activities in the City of Pocahontas.

MIDAS Council of Government's administers a revolving loan fund that is designed to encourage new or expanded development activities in the north central Iowa counties of Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster and Wright.

 

Community Economic Betterment Account (CEBA)

The CEBA program provides financial assistance to companies that create new employment opportunities and/or retain existing jobs, and make new capital investments. The amount of funding is based, in part, on the number of jobs to be created/retained. Funds are provided in the form of loans and forgivable loans

 

Economic Development Set-Aside Program (EDSA)

The EDSA program provides financial assistance to companies that create new employment opportunities and/or retain existing jobs, and make new capital investments. The amount of funding is based, in part, on the number of jobs to be created/retained. Funds are provided in the form of loans and forgivable loans.

 

New Jobs and Income Program (NJIP)

The Iowa New Jobs and Income Program offers a package of tax credits and exemptions to encourage high-quality capital investment and job creation. The Iowa New Jobs and Income Program provides a package of tax credits and exemptions to businesses making a capital investment of at least $10.87 million and creating 50 or more jobs meeting wage and benefit targets.

 

Infrastructure Financial Assistance Programs (RISE and PFSA Programs)

Financial assistance programs are available to finance road and community infrastructure to attract new development or support growth of existing development. The RISE program is for eligible cities and counties to promote economic development in Iowa through construction or improvement of roads and streets. Another program, the Public Facilities Set-Aside (PFSA) assists with the construction of public infrastructure to serve industrial properties.
